Batman journal layout
In my Batman-related excitement, I have made myself a new Batman journal layout. With CSS image rollovers, and a randomized header that rotates between Batman, Harvey and the Joker, huzzah! I feel like I cheated slightly as I based this on an edited version of Flexible Squares instead of writing it all from scratch like I did for my last layout. But my last version had some bugs, particularly on the comments pages, and I haven't the time to fix all of them. It was pretty easy to work with the style, the CSS was nice and neat. </anal code talk>

I spent an excruciating afternoon trying to get it to work in IE, but I finally triumphed! If you use IE, please, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, go and change to Firefox. It's easier to use, more customizable, more secure, an WEB DESIGNERS EVERYWHERE WILL THANK YOU. Stupid bloody IE, can't even do the box model right. The coding now works on IE6, but I haven't tried it on IE7 yet. Anyone using IE7 see any bugs?

retro style
New retro-tastic journal layout, hurrah!

I have a serious love/hate relationship with S2 - there's so much you can do, but it is unbelievably infuriating at times. I spent several hours getting the tags to display under the subject, but eventually THEY BENT TO MY WILL. Mwhahaha.

This was sort of inspired by Torchwood 1x12, which was set in the 1940s and was utterly fabulous! Captain Jack/Captain Jack is my new OTP. 1940s design was very innovative, and there are some great posters up at the British Airways Museum and WWII poster collection for inspiration. It ended up looking sort of 1960s mod-ish, but never mind.

Also, The Pipettes are the greatest retro band ever. ♥
