My daleks, let me show you them!  
Inspired by the talented folks over at [info]crafty_tardis, I have been trying my hand at Whovian arts and crafts. Look at my awesome dalek t-shirt!




I am not very good with crafty things, but it was actually good fun to make. [info]gingerelanor posted these spiffy dalek stencils, which I printed on acetate and cut out using a craft knife. (The acetate was actually from my copy of my undergrad dissertation, but never mind because dalek stencils > dissertation.) Stuck the stencil to the t-shirt with masking tape, applied three coats of fabric paint. One it was dry, I ironed it to set the paint. Ta-da!

It came out looking rather awesome. The paint has (inevitably) cracked by being stretched over The Huge Boobs Of Doom, but [info]flats informs me that this is retro. I AM TEH KEWLIEZ.


I have not yet seen Who 4x04, because my internet is being slow and crap and it hasn't finished downloading. Boo.

that shirt is NIFTY. I am constantly amazed at the coolness of the Dalek design, it works with everything :)
(also, 4x04 is amaaaazing. Best episode of season 4 yet. At least, I thought so, but I will squee at anything, pretty much.)

Ahaha, I am pulling my dorky "someone's taking my picture and I don't know what to do" face. I would certainly make you a shirt, but unfortunately I am too poor at the moment to buy supplies. :( If you could send me a plain shirt I could stencil it for you though. :)

I would buy the t-shirt and paint. I just don't have the steadiest hand on the planet when it comes to such things. Maybes we should arrange that coffee at some point soon ;D
